Haier Smart Family Wins the "AI IoT Brand Gold Award" at 2018 IFA Exhibition

On August 31st (German time), the 2018 IFA Consumer Electronics Show was officially kicked off in Berlin, which brought together the top results of global consumer technology. Haier Smart Family showed the full view of its smart package solution and many smart technologies at the exhibition. Haier’s exhibition area recorded the largest since it attended the IFA exhibition. It was worth mentioning that in the "2018 IFA Product Technology Innovation Award" conference, Haier Smart Family won the "IoT Brand Gold Award", and Haier Smart Refrigerator obtained the "Gold Award for Smart IoT-based Technologies Innovation" together with other international giants like SONY, BOSCH, SIEMENS.

The "IFA Product Technology Innovation Award" was created by International Data Group (IDG) and German Industry & Commerce Co., Ltd. It is a large-scale international selection among global consumer electronics brands, and a comprehensive evaluation on global consumer electronics industry. Over the years, Haier U+ has won many IFA technology innovation awards and smart home awards. At this year's IFA, Haier won the two awards, demonstrating its global leadership in technology innovation. This made Haier exhibition section the focus of attention from all walks of life.

At the exhibition site, in addition to exhibiting the technological achievements of the home appliance industry this year, Haier also fully demonstrated its smart home package solution customized for IoT-based demands of users. In the smart kitchen, Haier Smart Refrigerator that is placed in the entrance can provide each family with exclusive healthy food solutions so that they can enjoy healthy and nutritious food, relying on the food network built by linking hundreds of resource providers in 7 categories. In the smart bathroom, smart washing machines, dressing mirrors and other fittings are well linked through Haier’s IoT-based technology, relying on which water quality, detergent, and clothing can be identified intelligently, so that laundries can be washed efficiently. Such full life cycle smart solutions integrating laundry washing, care, hanging, storage, and laundry detergent purchasing bring the user much convenience. It is worth mentioning that at the exhibition site, users can control Haier's home appliances through Amazon Echo speakers, perfectly meeting the user's ecological service needs. Thus, Haier has been able to provide users with customized smart life interaction portal.

Looking at the highlights of this year's IFA and new technology trends, smart home appliances still play a leading role. However, a considerable number of enterprises stay in the initial stage of smart life, i.e., single product networking and control. Smart products and services are independent and different, and cannot be interconnected. Smart home appliances from different providers cannot meet the growing potential needs of the public, becoming the biggest problem in the way of the launch of smart home products. Compared with other companies, Haier differentiates the industry with smart home solutions featuring complete sets of smart home products and customized service based on life scenes. Now it has entered millions of families, letting them enjoy the wisdom and convenience of the smart home era in advance.

Haier's full-scene smart home package solution customized for users has become a star of the exhibition, owing to its technology developed for years through the U+ platform. Based on the U+IoT platform, U+ big data platform, U+ interactive platform and U+ ecological platform, the U+ platform is connected with the IoT cloud and cloud brain through the human-computer interaction and distributed scene network to customize the active IoT-based service featuring connectivity. Now full-scene smart home package solution for commercialization has already been implemented in major markets around the world. In order to further promote the international ecological construction of smart homes, at this year's IFA exhibition, Haier, as the member unit of OCF, one of the world's largest IoT standards organizations, signed a smart home eco-cooperation agreement with international giants such as Electrolux, LG, and Samsung, seeking to enhance the interoperability of the IoT-based ecosystem, realize seamless and secure device attachment and secure system for connectivity, and realize the connectivity and standardization of global home appliances by coordinating with OCF members. Haier has grown into the first IoT-based eco-brand.

In the past years, Haier used to show more achievements in home appliance manufacturing. This time, it focused on the demonstration of the development results of the IoT-based smart home products and obtained many European orders on the scene. According to the person in charge of Haier Smart Family, at present, Haier’s smart air conditioners, smart washing machines, smart refrigerators and other smart products have been listed in the European market. In the future, the entire smart family products will be listed in Europe, which will accelerate the launch of its smart home products around the world, and drive Haier and even the entire industry to realize the transformation from manufacturing home appliances to developing IoT-based eco-brand.
