Criteria 

1 Candidate companies are required to have an innovative spirit, independent innovation planning and experience, breakthroughs in core technology for products, innovative changes in product design and applications, etc., and the prospects of independent innovation and development for brand. 

2 Candidate companies can use different product brands for application, subject to the brand to which products in the application belong when the organizers announce the shortlist and winners. 

3 Candidate products have made breakthroughs in technological innovation, product design, user experience, etc., have strong product competitiveness, high growth, and good market prospects, and play a leading role in the consumer electronics sector, while the R&D team has capabilities for sustained new product development. 

4 Candidate products must have independent intellectual property rights and be free from intellectual property disputes. Otherwise, the qualification will be revoked. 

5 Number of candidate products and award-winning products: 

1) The product application must be filed by enterprises. The number of products submitted for application shall not be more than 3 for first-time participants and unsuccessful enterprises in the previous event, and not more than 5 for award-winning enterprises in the previous event;

Selection methods 

For the Global Product Technology Innovation Award, a comprehensive scoring method is used for evaluation of participant product in each stage. The score of each stage is as follows: 

1 Preliminary evaluation of applications: accounting for 55%; check the technology innovation conditions of participating products, select and send qualified products to the evaluation center, evaluate and make horizontal and vertical technology comparison at all levels, and confirm the products that enter the stage of expert review. 

Important metrics : Product evaluation is an important metric for this selection. Based on the technology information on participating products, the professional product evaluation team conducts a comprehensive evaluation of the products. 

2 Expert re-evaluation: accounting for 40%; an international senior expert review team in the consumer electronics field evaluates the products and confirms the shortlist based on technology, design, functions, application, innovation, and experience. 

Expert re-evaluation : The expert review team review and judge consumer electronics products most eligible for the corresponding awards from an authoritative perspective in an impartial manner. 

Expert Team: including (1)World-renowned research institutions, such as GFK and IDC, (2)Well-known scholars in the consumer electronics field, (3)Senior executives of world-renowned manufacturers, (4)Senior executives from related associations such as CEMA and AMA; editors-in-chief in the fields of technology, home appliances, and digital such as PC World, Digital Daily, Design, and Computerworld. 

3 Online voting: accounting for 5%; shortlisted products are put to public voting to check the brand credibility and after-sales satisfaction of products to ensure that participating products are free from major quality problems.
